I have been fishing my entire life, and this was one of the most memorable experiences on the water I've ever had. Charles was incredibly dialed, did everything by the book, and knew the river front to back. We did a two-day trip and caught multiple river monsters. The boat is spacious, and even beyond the fishing, it was beautiful to be out there on the Columbia River. I would highly recommend this experience!
Charlie is a great host and guide. He has a great comfortable set up for fishing that keeps you guarded from the elements, and a super wide boat that has room to fight big fish, and he made sure to get great pics for us while we were fighting the sturgeon. Charlie let us set the pace for the day and was personable and felt like a friend by the end! I will definitely be coming back again so my son can have this same experience.

If I could give Charles 10 stars I would. We flew in to Oregon for two things, get married and catch a monster sturgeon. Due to weather we had to change what day we fished. Without hesitation Charles made it happen. We ended our day with a giant!!! Plus many more big fish. We will be back in April!!!!!

The guys put Us on the Sturgeon. 11 total! The largest at 9ft. 8ins. For A Grand total of A 89 ft. Of Fish. We were also impressed with the Physical condition of the Sturgeon. My son has been dreaming of a trip with Broken Back for over a year, and it was everything he imagined and more. He was hooking fish all day long and reeled in some absolute monsters. Charles was a fantastic guide, knowledgeable and encouraging. Also he did a great job of posting on socials so family could follow the excitement from home. An incredible experience. Captain Charles is amazing! He runs one hell of an operation. Very knowledgeable, answered all of our questions and let us pick his brain about the massive white sturgeon. Everyone in our group had the time of our lives! It didn't hurt that we got into quite a few fish, with a handful of absolute monsters. We fished with him twice on our trip to the Columbia River (I'm very glad we had an off day in between, those river monsters are quite the workout)! We will definitely be back, and we when we do, it will be with Captain Charles and Brokenback!
Capt Charles was absolutely the best captain we could have chosen to fish the Colombia in Oregon. This guy puts everything he has into getting you on absolute giants and works hard to provide the right bait and gear to get you a chance at a fish of a lifetime. I would recommend broken back sturgeon fishing to anyone looking to cross this freshwater giant off their bucket list. I would rate the experience a 12/10 honestly captain Charles works harder then any other captain I've met 100% worth it especially since I drove 30 hours across country to fish with this legend.
What an absolutely amazing experience! Fish on within 15 minutes. Two fish within 2 hours at over 400lbs each. 9’3” + a 9’8”. A few small guys and absolutely sore arms. The pictures do not do the size justice.
I've fished with Charles twice in the last two years, and have had a great experience both times. Charles works extremely hard to get you into the fish, as well as getting pictures and video to capture your experience. He is very knowledgeable and has great sense of humor which makes the experience even better. There's is no doubt we will be returning!

Had a group of four and the accommodations were excellent. Had to change our location for fishing due to the heavy winds and Charles did great with adjusting to the elements and showing us a awesome time out on the water, helping us land some impressive fish. We couldn't have been more pleased with our experience. Broken back fishing is an appropriate name and if you're looking for an experience, this is the place to do it.

Charles is salt of the earth kind of guy. There were 4 of us and the first day we got here within 30 minutes of leaving the dock we hooked into a big one. We ended up catching loads of fish but the best part by far was Charles and the willingness to put you on fish and let you fight them till there in! On our first day it was also windy and choppy water and we hooked into a 14 foot monster (okay, really only 10.5 foot). We fought this fish for 2 hours. Charles was there the entire time helping anyway he could. His boat driving skills in the wind and rough water while we were being pulled down river by a true river monster we're second to none. He kept us in the fight until we finally won! Best fishing trip we've ever had!!!

Me and my girlfriend went on Trip and caught 2 sturgeon one was around 5 feet and the other was over 7 feet! Charles was very friendly and professional! We are actually trying to find another date to go out again! We highly recommend this company

We had a blast with Charles on this fishing trip. Helped catch the biggest sturgeon I’ve ever seen. Over 11 feet. Caught another that was over 9 feet plus five more in the five to six foot range. All Safely released. Spent the next day catching a nice batch of walleye. If you want to catch a giant sturgeon, I recommend you contact Charles with Brokenback Sturgeon today!! Amazing trip !! Can’t say enough nice things about charles. The wind tried to mess us up but captain didn’t let me down he was ready to roll with the punches. We slayed 4 fish over 6 ft and Almost for Mr 10 footer but I’ll be back!!

He is an amazing guide and a great guy he got me, my dad, sister and her boyfriend on some big fish we caught around 20 in the 2 days we fished and it was worth coming the 8 1/2 hrs my arms are hurting so bad cause of the sturgeon he got us on
It was well worth our drive to come from Pocatello Idaho to The Dalles Oregon Charles our guide had us on fish all day both days we fished he's definitely a down to earth guy he made us feel like we had been friends our whole life and for me to experience this with my son my daughter and my son in law was just icing on the cake I will definitely recommend him to everyone I know thank you for everything Charles untill next time man 💪
Absolutely awesome trip. They were very good at communicating what the plan was and very nice and friendly once we got on the water. Had a great time fishing. Ended the trip sore, tired, with stories to tell and plans to come back and bring more people.

I’ve done sturgeon fishing before but this guided tour was incredible. The captain Charlie made everyone comfortable and kept the fishing non stop. We caught 10 fish: two were 8 and 7 footers. Great time. Well worth the money. Our family had a GREAT time.Thanks Charlie
